#6 another Christmas over

006/365 another Christmas over, originally uploaded by rosipaw.

Twelth Night (or Epiphany) is the day when we Finns say good-bye to Christmas for another year and clear away all the decorations. The last Christmas goodies are consumed, candles lit, and the Christmas tree admired one more time. In my family we have the extra tradition of lighting sparklers on the bare branches (see here what it looks like) as the last short moment of glorious display before the tree is thrown into the garden from the balcony.

Our Christmas tree is a real hotch-potch of decorations from our travels in different parts of the world – filled with fond memories.

This delicate glass ball is one of my favourites. I found it in France some 5 years ago. I am very melancholic tonight…
