#270 evening light

270/365 evening light, originally uploaded by rosipaw.

It was another beautifully sunny and crisp autumn day. The lighting got warmer and warmer towards the evening, giving this red apple a lovely glow.

#252 colour in the market square

I made the most of a warm and sunny afternoon, and went for a long, long walk in town, to capture interesting fronts of buildings for the Daily Shoot. Crossed the market square during my walk, too, and ended up choosing this splash of colour as my picture of the day.

Local apples are at their best. The marketplace was bursting with them, and they gleamed irresistibly in the late afternoon sunshine.

#219 fruits of the season

219/365 fruits of the season, originally uploaded by rosipaw.

The blushing cheeks of apples in the trees are a sure sign that autumn is just round the corner. Looks like it’s going to be a good apple year.

An even surer sign of autumn is waiting for me after this weekend – back to school. I dread the thought of early mornings again. Adjusting and learning away from the free and easy summer schedule, with blissfully stress-free late mornings, will be a challenge. Maybe an apple a day will help!

#127 hairy monsters

127/365 hairy monsters, originally uploaded by rosipaw.

Before, I had only seen ramboutans peeled in tins drowned in syrup. I had no idea that they looked like this fresh! I needed a lot of guidance to be able to peel them to find the fruit inside. What a treat, though. I love exotic fruit!

Here is a picture of what it looks like inside.
