#159 summer gardens

159/365 summer gardens, originally uploaded by rosipaw.

On my cycling routes, I enjoy peeking into people’s gardens. It’s the rustic, unusual, often recycled decorations that appeal to me, such as this creative flower pot.

Some people really have an eye for beauty out of trash that others would send to the landfill without thinking twice. We don’t always need to go and buy brand-new things. It’s nice that just by using your imagination you can give a new life to something old and seemingly useless

I do that too. There are some lovely gardens near us. Ours isn’t one of them though!

Our garden is a hotchpotch of everything, and desperately needs weeding and tidying. Maybe that’s why I go around looking at other people’s creative ones! Then again, we still enjoy spending time in our garden. Fresh air is so good – for meals, reading and just sitting around chatting.
